On October 21st, Southcentral Region VP Russ Collins had the honor of representing both the PA Council and the Doc Fritchey Chapter of Trout Unlimited as part of two panels testifying before the PA House Democratic Policy Committee hearing on the Waters of Pennsylvania. Also participating were representatives from DEP, DCNR, Chesapeake Bay Commission, Susquehanna River Basin Commission, PA Fish and Boat Commission, PennFuture and Duquesne University.

Collins’ testimony focused on the important work of the 49 chapters of Trout Unlimited across Pennsylvania, as well as the conservation work that the Doc Fritchey Chapter is doing in Dauphin and Lebanon counties. He used this occasion to emphasize the importance of restoring funding to the Environmental Stewardship Fund and Growing Greener.
