Join fellow anglers and TU volunteer leaders from across the Northeast on May 5-7, 2017 in Clinton, New Jersey, for some great fishing, enlightening presentations, inspiring dialogue and engaging camaraderie with those who share your dedication to TU and our mission. TU regional rendezvous are occasions to be inspired – by the work of TU staff, lessons from volunteer leaders, and conversations with newfound friends. They are also an excellent opportunity to discuss the unique issues facing the region as well as a chance to network and build relationships with fellow TU volunteer leaders.
Friday, May 5
Free day of hosted fishing and no host dinner with local New Jersey TU volunteers. Sample some of the finest fly fishing around in the northern New Jersey region during the peak of the spring Sulphur hatch! Your local New Jersey TU hosts will take you to some of their most special waters – whether boulder-hopping after native brook trout in a small stream or chasing larger browns and rainbows in recently restored and improved waters
Saturday, May 6
– Workshops and Seminars
Saturday's full-day session will include breakfast and lunch networking, group discussions, concentrated workshops and opportunities for council and chapter leaders to share successes and discuss common challenges. A full agenda will be posted online soon.
Saturday Night, May 6
– Group Dinner and Networking
Following the day's meetings, join your fellow TU members, volunteers and staff for a great dinner and chance to network with one another. Spend time talking shop and trading stories with people who share your passion for conservation and enjoy a fun evening.
Sunday, May 7
– Wrap Sessions & Conservation Tour
Sunday's morning sessions will conclude the weekend's formal activities and wrap shortly before lunch. A boxed lunch will be provided to all attendees and an optional off-site conservation tour and hands-on training on the principles of stream restoration and community engagement will be offered to all who are interested. Late afternoon to evening fishing will also be available.
Accommodations for the Northeast Regional Rendezvous are provided by Holiday Inn Clinton. The discounted rate for our meeting is $124/night. Call (908) 894-5906 and ask for the "Trout Unlimited" group rate. Be sure to reserve your room before March 21, 2017 in order to receive the special group discount.
