PA Fish and Boat Commission’s R 3 Grant round is open!!  Please check in with your organizations and see what you can come up with (e.g. fishing equipment for future programming; pilot fishing programs, etc).

PFBC is reaching out to let you know about a great funding opportunity for programs that inspire fishing and boating. The Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission is offering grants encouraging organizations to engage participants of different backgrounds, skill sets, and experience levels in fishing and boating in their communities through R3 efforts (Recruit new participants, Retain existing participants, and Reactivate former participants). If you or your colleagues have a program that aligns with R3 efforts in fishing and boating, consider applying for the grant.

The R3 grants will reimburse qualifying organizations up to $25,000 for eligible program expenses for the period of July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024.  The grants require a minimum of 25% cash or in-kind match of staff time and/or other project expenses. The deadline for submission of R3 grant applications is April 14, 2023.
